Brief History of KBSO

The Karnataka State Balagai Communities Federation (KBSO) was established on 9 April 2026 as a unified statewide organisation representing the Balagai (Right-Hand) Scheduled Caste communities of Karnataka. Recognising the need to bring historically separate community organisations onto a common platform, the Federation was formed to strengthen unity, cooperation and collective representation.

KBSO is committed to protecting constitutional rights, promoting social justice, and advancing the educational, economic, social and political development of its member communities. Through community welfare initiatives, educational support, healthcare, employment opportunities, leadership development and cultural preservation, the Federation aims to build an inclusive and empowered future for generations to come.

Our guiding motto: Educate, Agitate, Organise.
